Getting through on the telephone is nigh on impossible. Also unqualified staff asking personal questions.
Thank you for your feedback, and I am sorry that you have experienced these problems. We are aware that there are currently long waits to get through to us on the phone, and that patients are being cut off. We will be moving to a new phone system by the end of the year that should give all our patients a better experience. We have recently hired new reception staff, so some of our staff may be less experienced than others. However, they are all trained, monitored and supported to help patients get the most suitable appointment for them. This means that they will ask personal questions rather than risk offering appointments that won't provide any benefit to the patient. This is under guidance from the GPs. All patients have the right to explain that they don't want to answer these questions and the reception team will attempt to find a suitable appointment based on the information you feel comfortable giving.
Nicola was very patient and professional, she listened to my needs and gave advice and antibiotics for ongoing cough. Was not in a hurry and prepared to listen.
The Glebe surgery is the best surgery that I have ever been registered with. All the staff are always very helpful and when I have needed an urgent appointment I have always been seen
Initial telephone call is always an arduous process however once answered I have always received excellent care and assistance. Dr Wollaston has always been very thorough and kept me informed throughout issues I’ve had and are still experiencing
Always have to wait a long time to get through, but staff are incredibly polite and calm and helpful when you do!
