I got an appointment quite quickly and the nurse who saw me understood the problem and gave me a prescription to help resolve the issue. Unfortunately my local chemist is out of stock of the medication but will call me when it’s available

Filtering phone calls by using options must be very difficult for older generations who are used to picking up the phone and calling with the person who answers putting a patient thru to the right person. Sadly 90% of businesses do this now to societies detriment. After getting through and listening to countless options/ advice/ information you are then told you are xx in the queue. It’s frustrating

The surgery approached me with a reminder about my annual blood tests. The subsequent making of an appointment was straightforward and changing it was easy with the receptionist being very helpful.

My pet hates are long telephone queues and music whilst waiting . The queue did move at a reasonable pace and if I had been aware of the less busy times I would have phoned then. Perhaps some dynamic call rescheduling would help
