10th July 2024

It is easy to get an app, but waiting times can be weeks. This is challenging, particularly when the issue is not addressed at the appointment. I had very little involvement- if any. I rush to say something I think is important at then of the consultation and feel really rushed (ie. Could irregular, and changes to period be cause of anaemia and do we need to investigate why periods have changed. Without allowing me to explain this - you may be missing the underlying cause whilst at the same time spending a lot of resource on other tests and investigations).

Suggested improvements
Measure baseline TFTs before stopping treatment- monitor carefully Ask patient for signs & symptoms (please don’t talk for ten minutes then usher me out the door) I had an app to look for underlying causes for headaches in March - it is now July, my headaches have not been addressed but a thorough investigation for iron deficiency anaemia is ongoing - for which I’m grateful, however, I still have headaches and it would be helpful if these could be addressed too.
