I was on hold for 45 minutes on my first call, the phone then disconnected and I had to call again. When I called later in the day, the receptionist was blunt, not welcoming at all, and suggested she “wouldn’t be able to help diagnose my issue”, so suggested she created an appointment for me - I’m not sure why she felt the need to try and help me from a medical perspective, the conversation felt unnecessarily opinionated from her interaction. I was then told I’d have a telephone consultation with the physiotherapist in just a few days time, which is fantastic - However, I had a text to say I could no longer be seen in person and was offered a telephone consultation, which I was already under the impression was booked. My appointment bin the app said “Telephone consultation” in the title, but the location was listed as within the surgery, which just leads to confusion. I then didn’t receive a call at the designated time, 08:30 in Weds 13th September. I called the surgery, again waited “first in the queue” for 10 minutes with no answer. Called again a short while later, the phone was answered and I got through to a different receptionist who was very helpful. She was very apologetic but informed me they did not know where the physiotherapist was, as they could not get hold of her - They suggested she hadn’t started her calls for the day yet. To their credit, the physiotherapist did call me a short while later and left me a voicemail, but due to the nature of my job I was not available to take the call, I need someone to call me at the time we arranged ahead of time. Very poor overall, the first receptionist was rude and overstepped her role entirely unnecessarily, the surgery is clearly disorganised.
