Tadworth medical centre Needed to see Gp regarding medication ( for depresslon )called 08.30. On first morning held in queue until 08.45. Was then told no appointments left . I said I only need to speak to Dr , I felt my medication was not really working wanted to know if I could increase the dosage. Nothing could be done was told they could not help, I was advised to call next day ,or come to surgery and wait till it opened. Second day I called at 08.30 got through at 08.40 , again told no appointments. Rang later in the day managed to get appointment @18.30 at nork clinic. Total time was 34 hrs from first call. My main problem is that I work 8 miles away from surgery. I start @ 8.00. I cannot be late for work whilst I Queue outside waiting for it to open.then get appointment @14,00. Get to work 1.5 hr late then say by the way I have to leave @ 13.30 to go to my GP. This would mean my total by the time I get back to work it would be 15.00. I finish work at 16.00 .My employer only has 4 hrs work from me on that day. Surely there must be a better system than this. I CAN NOW UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE GO TO A&E FOR NON EMERGENCIES.
