I work very long hours leaving home by 7am in the morning and not returning until 17:30 on an average day. I travel 90 min each way to work so having a late appointment is vital to me. I called this morning to be told I would be waiting until 21/04/2017 (3weeks and 4 days) to get an appointment. I advised that I wasn't expecting anything quick but surely there was something available ion the next 10 days. I was told if this wasn't good enough I would need to ring at 8:30am. I explained that where I work I am unable to use a phone due to explosion risk and the earliest brake would be 10am. I was basically told that this was a shame but there was no help they could give me. I would like to point out now the doctors at this surgery are fantastic but the reception staff has gone down hill majorly. The phones used to be answered by caring and professional staff. Now you seem to get the Spanish inquisition about your condition from a teenage receptionist who couldn't care less. The site advises phones are answered from 8am - THEY ARE NOT!!! On the rare occasion I have managed to try and call at 8am I have never had an answer, just an answer machine where no message can be left.
