I was advised by mail to contact the surgery to make a routine appointment with the diabetic nurse. The letter continued `unfortunately we have been unable to contact you by phone`. Seemingly when your surgery rings me and my answering machine responds with a request for a message to be left you just hang up leaving no message. You also don't show an identifying number when you ring and I like many others never answer calls that show no identity, in fact elderly people are advised not to. Perhaps you could change this policy. Roy Bilton
