I asked for a temporary registration as I needed to urgently see a gp when I was working in the area and the receptionist politely refused and suggested I went to the Crawley walk in centre and so zi explained I was in difficulties as I had a spinal tumour and did not have transport to get to Crawley or the money to get there and she still refused to allow me an appt, telling me that was what the walk in centre was for or I could try one of the other surgeries in Horsham. I repeated my gp was 250 miles away, I had money to get to them but not Crawley and she would not shift. None out of ten for milk of human kindness!
I was very satisfied with the thoroughness of my consultation with the doctor and a follow-up appointment with the nurse.
my family and I have been patients at this surgery for many years, there are some excellent doctors - IF you can get past the receptionists to actually get an appointment. on 2 occasions over the past year both myself and my young son have been sent to Crawley walk in centre by the nurse rather than just see a doctor - on both occasions this was totally unnecessary. we are planning on moving to another GP surgery having yet again been refused an appointment to see a doctor, instead we were seen by a nurse who simply prescribed antibiotics - very poor care indeed!
2 recent visits - one to ser nurse which went well, 2nd to see Doctor also went well , both on time no delays - not always easy to get appointment but as long as prepared to book ahead using on-line booking then no problem
I was originally going to be on telephone triage, then the receptionist changed her mind, and told me to bring my son down, to save time, as he's disabled. So I got an appointment that morning.
