It’s rare the phone is answered the first call I make. I have to make several calls before the phone is answered so I can make an appointment.

Suggested improvements
The nurse conducting the blood test didn’t ask my mum to rest her arm on the desk, didn’t say there’d be a sharp scratch to warn her the needle would be going in and the vein she chose was hardly releasing any blood. The process was causing my mum pain so the nurse asked if she should take the needle out as it was taking a long time for the tube to fill with blood. The nurse checked the other arm but couldn’t see a vein to use and said we’d have to book an appointment at the hospital to get the bloods taken instead. She’s been to the practice before to have blood taken and not had any issues until now. There was an occasion where a different nurse wasn’t able to get a vein but the nurse then asked someone else to help and that person was successful.
