My daughter has been a patient via the university for nearly 3 years. About 18 months ago she was diagnosed with epilepsy. She suffers with daily seizures, Peverall Park has continuously questioned both my daughter and her consultant about her medication and doses even though they have it in writing plus my daughters copies of letters and drug programme, they even go as far as to question her consultant instructions. Today the doctor refused to give a prescription for her medication because its a "unique drug". It's not, I've checked the drug is openly available in all doses, my local village pharmacy has it in stock and there is no restrictions on it. Tell the truth I know the drug is expensive! Is that her fault? Does she deserve to be upset by these doctors again? What exactly do they expect her to do now? It's bad enough she has to wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment, put up with rude receptionists then have a doctor treat her with no compassion and brush her concerns aside as if she's worthless and wasting their time. Even her consultant has questioned their competence when he has had to write several letters confirming the same medication doses. I'm disgusted.
