Seriously dangerous, causing serious physical and mental distress to patients.
The system whereby you register you have arrived for your appointment was out of order, as usual. Reception informed of arrival and reminded that on last visit no one informed the clinican.
Today the same thing happened. Reception failed to inform clinican. Waited 1.5 hours. The clinician did not know the patient was waiting. This patient is very elderly suffers HYPO GLYCEMIA and has multiple health issues. Felt extremely dizzy, weak and exhausted not only by the wait, but the sheer refusal not to inform clinican of arrival. Is that not part of their duties, is it so difficult?
When a hypo episode occurs the patient is not safe to drive and the effects last for the whole day or more. Fortunately, the patient was accompanied. If they were not the consequences are life threatening.
Do not play games with people's lives. This has gone on long enough.
A complete failure of duty of care! Unprofessional staff
Rude admin staff. They give contradictory instructions then shout at you for following. They are rude, and condescending. Don't care that you feel unwell. Have to phone for hours to get through, lines constantly drop.
No matter what I call about, the receptionist's hands are perpetually "tied" and they cannot help me.
The 4 or 5 appointments released in the morning are so oversubscribed, it's impossible to be seen.
Admin office has more staff than doctors or nurses, and will chat and make you wait while you are in reception.
