Compared to most other practices I feel the receptionist are non intrusive and I find it easy to obtain an appointment. When my appointment is 8.50 am I wonder how I can be 20 mins late and would appreciate the warning from reception on arrival.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you had a long wait for your appointment. If reception is aware that a clinician is running late they will advise patients of this when the check in. We are sorry you were not advised of the delay on this occasion. It is possible that on this occasion the clinic was not running late when you checked in, but that the patient(s) being seen before you took longer than booked for their consultations. To help patients get the most out of their 10 minute GP appointment without causing delays we recommend that patients book one appointment for one problem, please ask for a double appointment when booking if you have more than one problem. We are aware that sometimes our clinics do run late, and we are working on appointment planning strategies to reduce the impact this has on patient waiting times.
