The general set-up is good when dealing with the number of patients. Getting an appointment over the telephone is not easy and if I am passing, tend to 'pop' in to do this, instead. Overall, one has to appreciate the NHS conditions to provide services and I consider that the surgery and staff do their best under these circumstances. I worked in the NHS myself for well over 30 years.
