It is often extremely difficult to get through to the surgery by phone, even later in the day, when it is not unusual to be left in a queue for a very long time. It is quicker to drive down to the surgery and make an appointment in person!!! There needs to be either a better phone system, or more receptionists. The receptionists are always very helpful, but there needs to be a better way to get through to speak to them. My doctor is routinely running up to 45 minutes behind schedule, which is poor, but I suspect this is due to his care and concern for his patients.
