This appointment was for a flu jab so an unusual event. The service provided was extremely efficient
Surgery is very good, the issue is more about getting an appointment when you need it. Can be quite frustrating to wait in queue then be told slots for the period have been used and you need to trying back later when more shots open up
Improve communication. Telephone patients with test results even if no action needed. Try to keep to timekeeping. Make it easier to get appointment with allocated GP. Make is easier to get an appointment period. The telephone system is still unsatisfactory. The wait for an answer has been up to 40 minutes over the last 3 months. Worst time to call is 8am (when we are all told to ring) and 1-2pm when one assume the quiet period was. Keep posters of services up to date. i.e. Crawley Walk in has closed.
On the plus side: My GP is totally curteous and committed. The reception staff are in general the same and they try to help with information on outside help. The in house pharmacy is a boon and again really helpful. Arrangements for yearly preventative treatments good. Nurses generally good (I have had to avail myself of this service recently).
Dr. Tariq arranged for me to have a blood test as part of an annual assessment . Decisions and treatment were not applicable in this instance.
This was only a blood test as I have every six months, always goes well. . My appointment with the diabetic nurses I always find v good ( next Nov 23) and with my Doctors was Dr E. Fisher now Dr J Rattan very professional and such nice ladies too. The telephone appointments system is so overloaded I try to call in which is much better. P.S have you considered an electronic appointments system? My Dentist use this for routine appointments excellent.
