There isn't anywhere for disabled people to park our chairs whilst waiting for doctors or prescriptions, we are always in the way or in the middle of people. Also the doors are always shut and it's not easy and there aren't many people who offer help and assistance getting through them making it really difficult when you're in a wheelchair
Phowing the surgery can be difficult but understandable taking into consideration how many patients there are. All the staff are amazing professional and caring. We are so lucky to have this practice in Horsham
I can only really comment on warfarin blood tests as I rarely need to see a doctor. Tests are usually easy to book as long as you do it 2/3 weeks in advance, they are prompt (unless there has been a patient unable to give blood easily) and friendly.
When I do rarely need to see a doctor I normally book an appointment on line but it is almost impossible to get my own GP (Dr Nat). This hasn't been a problem as any other doctor I have seen has been helpful and resolved my query.
My husband and I have been registered with Park Surgery for about 4 years and we have been very happy with the service and care provided. Dr. Rattan has been our doctor during this time and she has always been very helpful and caring. On the odd occasion when we couldn't get an appointment with Dr. Rattan we have found other doctors equally pleasant and professional. The receptionists are also good with patients and not officious in their manner!
On attending an appointment for a blood test, the only visit to the surgery in 12 months, I found my appointment had been delayed by 10 minutes when registering at the computer. This appeared to be because several elderly patients had not thought ahead & removed outer clothing, thus increasing the time with the phlebotomist.
The phlebotomist was her usual friendly & efficient self & expressed her thanks that I was only in the treatment room for about 30 seconds. I realise that not everyone is as fortunate as I with large easily visible veins but by removing my coat beforehand & wearing a tee-shirt meant that I could be in & out with minimum delay.
I am 67.
