I called after 10.am to try to make an appointment and was waiting on the line for 30 mins with no explanation or apology when I finally got through. I am in good health but God help any one who isn't and has to deal with the reception at Park Surgery, Horsham.

The appointment took some time to come with the Consultant and after about a two month wait it was cancelled one week before the due date.

Receptionists need to be more empathetic to the patients needs on the phone

I've recently moved to Horsham so I am a new patient to this surgery. The surgery seems to run very efficiently, the staff are friendly and helpful and so far my experience has been good. I have never tried to telephone for a same day appointment so can't comment on that aspect but I have gone to the surgery at 8.00 am and had an appointment for later in the morning which I am happy with.

Very difficult to get appointment when you want it. I made appt online for 1 month ahead with my gp who I was asked by letter to see. When I phoned it was brought forward by 2 weeks. It would be good to be able to get appt with own gp within 2-3 days when you call. Also many people including myself do not like being asked by reception what is wrong with us over the phone in front of the public queue. Then they ask your name and repeat it out loud. They are not doctors and our problems should be confidential. We don't want reception staff to decide whether we can have appt that day or not. Many thanks.
