I tried to phone soon after 9 am for a quick access appointment but the phone was not answered. So I walked to the surgery. There were two people in front of me at the reception desk. The receptionists attitude reminded me of the battle axe who used to do a similar job at Tharlow Road when Dr Day was still in harness. I was always terrified of trying to get through her steely inquiring cross examination. However, once I got through that ordeal, I only had to wait 30 mins to see my own GP.
