Invariably able to obtain appointment when vital. Doctors listen ask appropriate questions then take necessary action. Willing to make immediate decisions and take immediate actions where it is necessary for the benefit of patients. By doing so saved my wife’s life!!

The most efficient, helpful and accessible GP surgery I have ever known and I have frequented it for 15 years now. It engenders a feeling of trust and confidence quite unlike any other. I keep wondering if there will be a slip up somewhere but it hasn’t happened yet.

Can’t think of anything to put here. If there was something to say I’d say it.

I have only recently moved to this surgery and cannot believe how friendly, efficient and caring all the staff are, from the receptionists, to the dispensary, nurses and doctors. I would also like to add that my review is written in the second wave of COVID and the surgery took me on in the first wave. They have been there for me throughout. Everyday. Whilst most of us can hunker down and keep a low profile, the surgery staff are at the front line so as well as being polite and courteous I am going to also commend their bravery. I would like to add on their behalf, to defend them somewhat from the rare critical review left for them anonymously, that we are all human. We all make mistakes. And we all have bad days. Before you criticise the NHS, ask yourself this... could you do the job? Dealing with sick people all day. Would you do the job? If you can answer yes, then you have the right to criticise and should join the NHS who are desperately overworked. If you cannot answer yes, then stop moaning about them on bulletin boards and be happy they are there for us in the middle on a pandemic.

The motto of the dispensary section of the Northiam Surgery should be "Service Without a Smile"! The ladies are unfriendly, very matter of fact and frankly quite unpleasant. They never smile, don't ask "How can I help you?" and they could definitely benefit from some training in serving in a front line role. Everything is an effort for them and there is no apology when something goes wrong, which is very often for me and my "automatic" repeat prescriptions. I do not have the time to wait around in the surgery or to take a seat while they fix errors and certainly do not have the inclination to deal with such miserable staff. I am always polite and helpful with my requests but am met with stony faces and inept service. Improvements required please, or at least a smile! It costs nothing to be polite/friendly.

On the other hand, all the GPs and nursing staff are absolutely brilliant! They are caring, friendly and sensitive to patients needs. I cannot fault any of the ones I have seen. Top class in all aspects! If only the same could be said of the dispensary staff.
