Difficult to answer most questions as I have very little contact with the surgery. However the recent 56 day review appointment was conducted very efficiently and thoroughly, with each step explained as we went through the review by the excellent practitioner.
Can’t really answer question about ease of obtaining appointment as I haven’t tried. My review was booked online
I completed on line symtems at 8am was called at 8. 45 and offered an appointment for 9.30am. Was given an further examination of my chest and given medication which was ready in 10 minutes. The nurse was extremely good, asked questions to clarify what I'd added to my on line form. Advised if infection not cleared up by time finished course to return. In all North brink delivered a very prompt service.
Got through to surgery on phone at third attempt.
If I need an appointment then I submit a triage form and receive a reply or an appointment the same day if required.
Recent appointment was inappropriate...not the receptionists fault, "doctors only see patients with a new problem. This is a recurrence you will have to see a nurse.". The appointment was then at another surgery. And then, "sorry but I cannot prescribe, you need to see a doctor". I wanted to discuss UTI prophylaxis.
It does not seem possible to simply have an appointment to discuss or speak with a doctor. It seems a doctor's time is more 'special' than his/her patients?
