I had an issue getting my prescription and had to go to another pharmacy. When they tried to scan my prescription it was still with North brink. I called to get it released. Rather than the receptionist getting up and walking less than 30 seconds down the corridor to the pharmacy to ask them to do this or calling them to ask them to do this she said she would send a message. This was at 9.30am. I could wait as had to get back to work so went back to the pharmacy on my lunch. It had still not been released 4 hours later through the apparent urgent message sent by reception. So I had to drive back to the surgery, get it released and drive back to the pharmacy. This was completely unacceptable, if thr pharmacy is busy they not going to be checking messages or emails. Reception needs to be more proactive.
Following a request for a repeat prescription for HRT I was asked by the surgery to complete a questionnaire... not quite a consultation!
The nurse I saw was very nice and caring.
The surgery was very clean and I heard the receptionist be very calm talking to a man who was being very difficult with her.
The only thing is while we sat there the fire alarm went off and we had to be evacuated but that couldn’t be helped.
I don't like to call for an appointment as the previous time I had to explain my problem to a man and if it was a personal problem I would have done so and I also am a bit dubious about discussing my problem to a receptionist?????
I did not go to the surgery or ask for an appointment. I just logged on and asked for medications to be sent to the chemist, as I was running out of medications and needed them to stop further discomfort whilst awaiting a consultant dermatologist appointment.
