Receptionist that answered my call was rude, did not give her name and was huffing and puffing down the phone as I was trying to explain what was wrong. She made it sound like it was hard work just to ask for help. Did not tell me if I would be having a face to face appointment or if I was going to be called back which meant I had to take a day off work to wait for a phone call or message as to what was going to be happening.
Suggested improvements
As a previous employee, I was always told to be polite and give my name over the phone. Also, my appointment was mental health based as I am struggling so this experience only made me feel like I am a burden when calling for help with my depression and anxiety.
When I received my phone call I did not get to finish telling them what the problem was, I was just advised my dosage would go up and given a phone number for counselling. I have been receiving this ‘help’ for the past 6 years. It is clearly not working. Stop chucking tablets at us and passing us over to counsellors.
