I tried for 2 days to get a appointment or phone call. Both days the online triage form was disabled. I rang the surgery and was told to ring 111. I asked for just a phone call as my chest infection & general condition was getting worse. I was told again this constituted a appointment and told again to ring 111. I rang 111 on the Wednesday at 9 am. At 10am was rang to be told by 111 that they were sorry but they were very busy but someone would ring me that day. At 4.15pm a doctor did ring who was very nice and prescribed me anti biotics. By now I felt quite poorly. After 2 days of taking them I had very bad diarrhoea, which made me feel worse. Eventually, on Thursday this week I was successful submitting a triage form and was phoned back around 10am by a very helpful clinician who prescribed me different antibiotics. I am 67, live alone with other health problems. Chest infections are something I get every year, and they become very bad. I feel that the system of triage is ok if you can actually submit a form. Getting a appointment is getting harder.I am not very satisfied with the system at all. When I do get treatment I am always treated well at my surgery but now it's a struggle to see someone.

Suggested improvements
Have appointments available for even a phone call if the patient is known to have regular health issues. Also, having to submit a triage form is ok but it does not work if the system is disabled! There needs to be something done, as patient care should be a priority.
