The doctors are really nice and I think most of them do really care. The problem is there are far too many patients Normal reception staff are lovely but there is something very wrong with the repeat prescription gang in recent years since old good staff have left. Now they will hardly ever answer the phone to you in repeat prescriptions they just let it ring. This is well known to most people who use the so called service, I have actually tested this out a few times because I couldn't believe it, I rang on my mobile for ages outside the surgery because I had been trying to ring them for 2 days at home because my internet had not yet been connected due to house move, They were all in there not one of them would answer the phone. They told me as an excuse for this they wanted people to use the internet. Not everyone has the internet and more importantly they are being paid to provide a service which includes answering the phone. If I was in charge of them I would give them the sack. It is really bad and people should complain about it. Not let them get away with it. My family have lived here for generations and used this surgery quite happily but they are spoiling the service with bad attitude to work. I don't go to the doctors much only if I am really bad but I do have repeat prescriptions and they are a pest. sorry to put a downer on what would otherwise be a perfect place. So who ever can sort this out , sort it as it is way over due.
