I have been attending Newland Surgery for over twenty years. I have always been impressed by how helpful all of the staff are. There have recently been changes that mean that one cannot quickly access a face to face appointment with a GP. However, Newland Surgery seems to me to have come up with a system of on-line bookings, 'call on the day', emergency appointments, appointments with a nurse and telephone calls that makes much better use of the Doctor's time. It certainly seems to work for me. I recently developed some symptoms that could possibly be the result of cancer, and was very smoothly 'fast tracked' by one of the GPs to have the necessary tests at local hospitals. The whole process was an example of the NHS at it's best. I feel extremely fortunate to have access to such a good surgery.
