I got this one within a week but sometimes you have to wait much longer. The 8.00 am scramble is so difficult and frustrating that I don’t try it unless feeling very ill. This time I didn’t try it and thought a week’s wait ok. It turned out that I have one or two conditions that are potentially serious and might have got more so if I had had to wait longer. Also, because making an appointment is so difficult generally I have tended to ignore symptoms and hope they’ll go away. They don’t always.

On this occasion nothing. The doctor I saw spent longer with me than usual, causing his queue in the waiting room to grow, but I still forgot to mention something which is bothering me. Generally, I think patients need longer with the doctor, especially since getting to see one is a rare and precious event.

Natalie, a secretary dealt with a urgent request for a referral to be sent to St Thomas's hospital. She traced it , dealt with it straight away & texted me when done. Thank you Natalie

I am very happy with the surgery I am based at, I just feel that after 3 years with the same problem, I'd like to see a specialist for my stomach problem as it is affecting my whole life 24/7 now. And this is despite adhering to doctors advice on diet and excercise.

It would be good for those with hearing problems to have a text/message service with both doctors and reception to communicate. I'm struggling to hear what is said over the phone.
