It's not always easy to get through over the phone because of the volume of patients needing appointments/information. The Old Town Surgery do everything they can to keep the queue moving while also making sure they treat everyone with respect.

There's really nothing they are able to do better - there is simply a growing need for medical help & not enough Doctors or nurses to fulfill the need. The staff here do everything they can to provide an excellent service with the resources they have.

Kate Phlebotomist was cheerful and efficient. Appointment today was easy to make in advance but sometimes less so. Sometimes doctors booked up.

The nurse I saw was dismissive and on the point of rudeness, she just kept saying “go to a pharmacy, whatever I said, she repeated “go to a pharmacy “ like I was wasting her time

She could have explained in a kinder way and maybe suggested I contact my doctor for his advice - I am in my late eighties and quite deaf; your nurse needs to go on a course for how to treat elderly patients
