Like many others, my appointment was cancelled due to the IT outage. Whilst appreciating this was out of the surgery’s control, when I’ve tried to get another appointment, I was told there are no bookable appointments available “because the GPs are on holiday”. It would have been easy for the surgery to call those affected by the outage and offered replacement appointments. The only option now available is to call at 8am & hope.

Offer appointments at either surgery. If the patient has no preference, allow them to see any available GP, not just the one their aligned to.
