I found the receptionist quite sharp with me I was on time for my appointment, yet told I was too early and had to prove via my text message reminder. I also needed a urine sample pot and this was questioned as to why by the receptionist. I was told it was not protocol to give my sample to reception even though the nurse said so. Made to feel I was lying and again a sharp attitude towards me at reception. Nurse was wonderful and made me feel at ease, chatting to me and telling me exactly what was happening or what was going to happen.

Suggested improvements
I’m quite a nervous patient at the GP surgery. I was on my own. The receptionist didn’t make me feel at ease, I was questioned at every turn and made to feel uncomfortable. A little patience and understanding would have made me a little more at ease.
