All the staff work within a very caring ethos. Your problem, in all respects, is their problem and will be mutually resolved to the best of their ability. All staff, both medical and administrative, listen to and hear what one has to say.

Despite negative comments in the media about being unable to get appointments with GPs I have always found it easy to make an appointment at the surgery, usually within 2 or 3 days, or sometimes on the same day. The surgery offers a wide range of services and your receptionists are always polite and helpful.

Our experience of Bxhill old town surgery is unfortunatly very disheartning. We moved into Bexhill last year and had to leave a wonderful doctor at Battle. The reception staff are very good but the 2 female doctors all members of my family have seen have been of very low standard and rude. One told me my notes still hadnt been transfered from my old doctors and that it could take months. She did nothing to check herself. So I had to ring my old doctors who informed me of when they had been sent I themn had to ring the main medical place who informed me they had been sent to Old town a couple of months ago. One of the receptionists then found them in the office. I was lectured on contraception which I found insulting and felt bullied into something I didnt want. then when I agreed to what she wanted she decided that wasnt the best thing afterall. I have just become pregnant and I am not looking forward to seeking help from any of the staff at Old Town. We will hopefully be moving surgeries asap. Also I know of many other people who have had been treated with same level of rudeness and also wish to leave.

I think that the care that I receive from my doctor is exemplary. Everything that I need to know is fully explained to me. It is most important to me to have a good relationship with my doctor. I always feel educated after a visit and feel that I can accept his advice without question. The downside to this is that I am sure that many other patients have concluded the same as myself in that we are fortunate to have the services of such a good doctor. This makes great demands on his time and subsequently there is sometimes a few days wait until he is available. Not forgetting the nursing staff, who are most experienced in their fields. Altogether a most efficient practice. I do not see how much doctor could be achieved from the status given.
