My appointment was suggested by the med centre not by me. The nurse, Marise, was friendly and helpful. Couldn't wish for more
I feel uncomfortable with this review system - it makes the NHS look like a shop purveying goods on line. I don't reply to these requests as the real answer is do I buy again from the seller or not. As far as NHS is concerned I tell the doctor, nurse, or receptionist when I am grateful for good service (see what I mean?) And - I also let the practice know when I feel something is lacking or unsatisfactory. Overall, I am disappointed that the service us going down this impersonal route. If I told you Dr X is someone I think had made a mistake, or showed no concern for me as a person, what would you do with that information?
I was called for a blood test. My previous blood test was October and I queried the necessity of this and the doctor recommended a test every 6 months. However an appointment was made by the surgery for January. I had the blood test but really didn't need it. I still don't know why I am having the blood test. Hopefully the notes will be amended and I will be able to wait 6 months for the next one.
The receptionist listens to your problem and usually asks someone to ring you that day to see whether you need to be seen that day or for advice
