I think the reception team need to work much harder to welcome patients and attend willingly to them - even to notice they’re there.
The process of access to - in my case a blood test appointment was very cumbersome.
Once made, the automated system of reminders was good.
On the day, the screen check-in was easy. Waiting room empty at 8.15. Phlebotomist - Di - was friendly and efficient and very punctual.
Suggested improvements
I think a huge amount needs to be done both to make access easier and tailored to the specific needs.
I feel that the attitude at the practice is defensive - to protect the staff from the patients demands rather than thinking from the patients’ position and aiming to improve things for them, the patients.
