I had made previous telephone appt where doctor made an appt for me to come in to see Nurse Teresa Meeke who was friendly and took time to explain fully what a my diagnosis was, what the tests she took were for and the treatment she proposed. She also took the time to double check with the doctor that the treatment she proposed was the correct procedure for the stage of my condition.
Teresa made an appt for me before I left for the following week for further treatment.
Surgery was in "Covid_19 mode" so receptionists not really involved.
Initially I had a good service from the Surgery but since my appointment I have found it nigh on impossible to get through to get my results. The Surgery do not tell you that you can only get your results by calling after 11:00 am, you only find that out after being put through to a recorded message that cuts you off after you've been waiting half an hour to get through!!! When you do finally get through, the phone just rings out. To top it all off the Surgery offers an online service that you can register to, however you cannot progress without your registration number (?) I have been registered with the Surgery since the days of Dr.Watson, in fact Dr.Couchman used to be my Doctor before Dr.Wilson took over his patients, I have NO idea about a registration number?!!! The website seems to be set up for new clients only, so I can't even get an update via that. All in all, I'm not impressed by the aftercare service which seems to be extremely poor.
My experience of Greystone Surgery rests entirely on my recent 5 weekly appointments, with Nurse Teresa Meeke (14 Sept - 5 Oct). I do not inspect the surgery for cleanliness, but Reception and the Treatment Room appears how one would anticipate. All Covid 19 precautions are in place. Nurse Meeke has given me excellent care, in treating my leg ulcers and has brought me close to comlete healing. She does this in her usual cheerful manner and by fully explaining how and what she is doing and also gives advice as to how I can manage the ulcer myself. I believe I have had "Great Care" on each of my 5 Appointments and feel confident that I am now close to completion and total healing, with possibly just one or a small number of further visits, to benefit from her expertise.
Sometimes delay in answering phone and have to ring a week ahead for routine appts
I had my drive through flu jab today. Usually I had them at work but as I am still shielding I have attended there. Very well organised and a smooth, efficient and fast system. Well done. Lovely polite doctor who administered the vaccine.
Greystone House Surgery was awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2024 for delivering outstanding care.
