30th January 2021

On the 27th of jan 20201 at 4pm i attended the surgery for an appointment with the physiotherapist, on my arrival i stood outside and rang the bell. No answer after couple minutes rang the bell again. No answer so i stood at the window where the receptionist (blond lady with short hair) was staring directly at me waiting for an acknowledgement or a hand gesture to inform me with something. nothing happened! while she carried on staring at me. After few minutes couple people came out the door so i moved away to let them out and door was left open. I went in to speak to the receptionist, she refused by waving her hand signalling at me to leave the premises. when i left i stood outside again then i heard the inter phone speaker saying i should read the sign! i replied that i can’t read i am dyslexic then she started asking some questions which i struggled to hear properly. then opened the door. this could have resulted in me missing my appointment because my physiotherapist was already asking some patients if they were me! the receptionist realised that but couldn’t care to inform her that there is someone at the door that could be patient! This was my experience for the first time ever i attended this surgery as i just moved into this area but it was an unforgettable one! thanks to the unprofessionalism, rudeness, ignorance and incompetence of the receptionist.

Suggested improvements
Better training and educating the receptionists maybe.
