During lockdown I fully understand the difficulties GPs have faced however same day call back appointments have been impossible for me to make. I am a teacher often with no one to cover while I take a call and cannot take an entire day of work in the hope that I may possibly get a call back on that day! The call backs need to at least be available after a certain time or even the option of a time slot system. A particular receptionist can be extremely rude with a huge lack of compassion or understanding. I literally have no way of accessing a gp appointment during term time and therefore have left several issues untreated.

Suggested improvements
Telephone appointment system. Rude receptionist needs training on how to speak to people. Talks to you like you should know better, have had better customer service from McDonald’s.

I've been having issues with mental health and struggling. I tried to speak to someone over the phone about receiving help .when I had time on my break at work i called and was told to call back. At 8 the following day as they won't let me book an appointment for another day at a time i know I can speak. I explained that i can't as i can't have my phone on me at work and can only make calls on my break. She suggested I have someone else call for me but as my girlfriend works in data protection she is in the same situation as me and can't make the call. The following day i phoned back at 9 when i received an early break and the receptionist said you were told to call back at 8 your too late. So unless you can call within a 15 minute window on a morning you can't get an appointment. This system that is in place is rubbish. I found the whole situation frustrating and distressing as it means that the foreseeable future i can not get any assistance Unless i quit my job . I would however like to state that the doctors and medical staff here are excellent if you can actually get in to see them .

Suggested improvements
Have a select few slots for later date appointments perhaps ? and the admin staff to behave like actual health workers and not bureaucrats with a computer says no mentality.

Communication not good . Letters from hospital do not get followed up.or sent to the patient. .Communication between the hospital and doctors not good .feel receptionists should not be giving hospital results over the phone this shoujd be a doctor's job. Dissapointed in the lack of communication between doctor and patient.

My late mum Audrey was looked after fantasticaly we’ll. both myself and mum were supported by all the staff-honestly I really couldn’t fault them in any way at all. So thank you from the bottom of my heart, you were there for both of us and bent over backwards to help. It’s taken me a long time to put this review on because of mums death-it really did affect me-but I feel glad I can do it now. Katrina Spink xxxxxxxx

Have no faults at all with the surgery, reception staff are more than helpful, Gail is amazing and so friendly and Dr mohan is an outstanding doctor he is amazing so friendly and welcoming and actually listens.
