The reception staff are the first port of call into the practice and they really let the surgery down. The times I have called in for appointments or enquiring after a missing prescription have been a very unpleasant experience largely down to the rude receptionist I had the misfortune of speaking to on the phone. I also think the voice on the phone recording system is quite "hard" and quite unwelcoming. Perhaps replace it with a softer, more welcoming voice!
