An outstanding practice. I feel very lucky to have this as my local health centre. I like all the GPs and they've always given me plenty of time in appointments but Dr Poddar in particular is a star: He has literally saved my life on two occasions. They're efficient but they're also always deeply human and caring. Certainly it's clear the NHS is under enormous pressure right now and that shows in certain ways but somehow Crickhowell seem to keep things together and go the extra mile when needed.

It would be useful to be able to contact someone by phone at the weekends (even just Saturdays) to make appointments etc. Even if the appointments have to be weekdays.

I have asked on several occasions for my repeat prescription to be picked up at the heath centre put in a request by email only to be sent an email saying I had to use a different one, when I went to collect it wasn’t done, so I went to reception and asked could they ask the doctor to write one up as I was out of my medication they phoned an hour later saying the doctor refused,and said I will have to wait another 5 days appalled by the attitude

Just be polite and understanding of the delay that was not my fault

I want to put on record how exceptionally helpful, kind, compassionate and patient Rachel Jones (one of your nurses) is. She is like a breath of fresh air. She is completely patient focused and I think she is outstanding. Please tell her.

The receptionist at the surgery a polite, and although they are stressed with the workload they currently experience, they do their upmost to help in patient care. The doctors at the surgery are fantastic as are the nurses, and they listen with intent and purpose to help. If you wanted to be really picky, you could just request that the opening time be half an hour earlier, but otherwise there really is nothing that the surgery could’ve done better.
