Dealt with rude reception staff who gave conflicting advice. I phoned at 8am to get an emergency appointment and staff told me I had to re-register online as my account had been de-activated. They then told me to phone back at 11am when more appointments are released. I phoned at 11am and they told me that I could not access extended hours appointments as I had registered as a temporary patient. I still do not have access to essential health care.
I am very upset with my treatment over the phone today. I rang for help and advice about how quickly I might be able to get my medication because I am feeling wheezy and was told that in future I should order my medicines in advance! For someone who is already feeling unwell and has realised that they should have done this earlier, this attitude didn't help, in fact it heightened my breathlessness.
There was no consideration or care given, no positive action that could be done. The prescription would be signed off when the doctor could get to it at the end of surgery and that was that. When I pushed a bit more, she said end of morning surgery but couldn't give a time.
I understand doctors are busy and if the receptionist had said it would be done as soon as possible and not later than a certain time, then that would have been more acceptable but to be told off and told it would be done later is not good enough when someone is feeling unwell.
I don't call the surgery very often and I really would have hoped for kinder treatment. I am shocked by this.
Doctor here interfered with life long medication i was receiving after years of great care from previous doctor and caused never ending problems getting my medication, caused stress, wasted endless hours of my time, unnesasary interference that was not welcomed or asked for and when i complained i got a letter telling me not to be rude to the staff or i would be banned from the surgery. Absolute disgrace to the NHS and doctor should have her contract revoked as she is not providing a service but damaging a service and not listening to patients feelings, preferences or wishes. all in all the worst doctors practice i have ever experienced in my lifetime of 58 years. Even when a prescription was accepted it took weeks to process so i kept running out of medication.
Good surgery where they ALL listen.
My disabled son took me here so we could both have blood taken plus his yearly asthma review. Nurse Abby undertook this with all due professionalism & efficiency. Plus when my son says he barely felt the needle that was used to take his blood sample you know how good she must be!
