I had already arranged private physio & been to Minor Injuries Unit, but my problem persisted after some weeks. I accepted an appointment with one of the Physician Associates who listened, referred me for X-ray and following the results offered me a steroid injection. I accepted & she made the appointment and she skilfully performed the injection. Excellent communication & explanation. I suspect a lot of people still think they need to see a Dr & don't understand this new way of providing patient care which I was extremely happy with.

My appointment was for dewaxing of ears. It wasn’t at my doctor’s surgery but a centre he referred me to locally. At the time I made the appointment, they were operating the old system for my ongoing, repeated sessions which involved me having to contact them for an appointment. They have now introduced a new system of a regular three monthly appointment notified by text.

For ongoing treatment, the centre should have adopted the practice of informing me, rather than me having to contact them for an appointment. I am happy to say, that the centre has now introduced to system of informing me of my next appointment for my treatment which will be life long.
