I would just like to report how unhelpful the Receptionist was last night. I had rung through to the surgery to apologise that I would be late due to having been stuck in traffic on the way back from Worcester but was almost at the surgery and was assured that if I arrived within 5 mins I would be seen. I arrived within 3 mins but was kept waiting for longer than that by the Receptionist who was standing chatting to her colleague in the back office although she clearly knew I was there. Eventually, without a smile or a greeting she announced that the Practice Nurse had left for the day. Firstly, why not tell me in the first place that the Nurse had left and secondly, why take a job in customer services if you lack the necessary skills? Totally unacceptable - more staff training needed.
