I understand the pressures on getting appointments but have found that the telephone Triage service operated by the designated Duty Doctor for that day works well. If there is any hint that it may be of a serious nature an appointment is found for you that day with either a Doctor or Nurse as appropriate and any treatment/advice given immediately. Well done to all who are involved in this.
