Share review of Byfield Medical Centre
This is the first issue I have had with the surgery all the years I have been coming and the service has been excellent.
The poor service is not about my recent visit specifically, just leading up to my appointment.
I was running out of HRT so booked an appointment for a telephone call on the 28th Nov and requested after 12 noon as I was in a meeting was told they would make a note. They called at approx 1130 and I could answer the call left a voice mail saying they would call bk, no call back received.
I called a couple of days later 30th November and spoke to a lady on reception and explained what had happened and I needed my medication for the 1st December and was told I will put you on a call list. Which I agreed to but again no phone call.
I was away with work the following we and didn’t have opportunity to call again.
On the 8th Dec I called at around 830 explained again what had happened as was told on the first call it was put down as a morning call and shouldn’t of been, that I was not on any call list to be called, so I ask for an appointment as I was now over due my medication. I said could I have a telephone appointment please and the earliest I was advise would be the 22nd December and they couldn’t give me medication as it was not on repeat.
So I am expecting a phone call appointment on the 22nd December great. On the 11th December I receive a call asking to move my appointment to 930 which is not an issue at all, but then discover it was a face to face, so luckily enough I received this call before hand otherwise I would have not shown up and missed another appointment.
I am very sorry to read this - as the reviews are anonymous i wonder if i could trouble you to call to speak to the Practice manager so that this can be investigated as this is not the service we expect to provide to our patients
