Appalled by the lack of a caring attitude towards a carer who called in during my visit. She wanted advice but was met with stern receptionists who were only willing to book an appointment for the patient whom the carer thought might not be able to get in to the surgery. Dr Savage who was in the reception area was addressed by the carer but offered no help stating to her "I'm not here this morning". I appreciate that he was on his way out to visit local Nursing Homes, but very saddened that he could not offer a few words of advice or offer to call in on his way back.
