Even when I call on the dot of 8 am, there is often a very long queue in front of me - how does that happen?
Good morning, I am sorry that you find the queues on the phone line very long, unfortunately we do have a high demand for appointments first thing in the morning and we do have a team of people that answer the calls as quickly as possible. Are you aware that we now offer an econsult service that is available 7am 10am Monday to Friday and can be accessed via our website (https://www.billingshurstsurgery.co.uk/appointment-system.php) or if you have the NHS app via the "ask my GP for advice" section in the NHS app, this form is the n processed by the ehub team and you will either be given an appointment with an appropriate clinician, given advice or signposted to a local service. Varley was excellent, and a real credit to the surgery. She was polite and helpful. She offered to talk with the nurses and ring me back, which she did within 10 minutes, and had a positive and reassuring proposal. She then sorted two appointments for both me and my wife, which were ahead of our expectations. Varley was a pleasure to talk to.
One other member of the reception staff is confrontational and impolite. So it was very refreshing to speak with Varley.

I booked an online appointment with a nurse to take bloods. Effortless and efficient. The nurse was lovely, reassuring and professional.
