If you get on the phone at 8 am all appointments have gone and the same thing happens day after day, how does one get an appointment?
I saw the respiratory nurse for an asthma/COPD review (the first for four years). She was very helpful and has booked ongoing annual reviews. She suggested I book a GP appointment to discuss other health matters but I was unable to do this with the receptionist on my way out. She suggested I book on the app or website which I tried as soon as I returned home. There are no appointments available on either. The receptionist suggested I tried at 8 am Monday morning and the best way is to visit the surgery at that time. I am recovering from covid and am not usually awake at that time . The app and website appear to only operate duty surgery hours so I am at a loss to be honest as I really do need to see a doctor
Had an appointment by phone should of been 9.50 surgery didn't call I called at 10.30 to be told running late then it was rearranged for 4.40 6pm called surgery as I had just missed a call but was 1hr 20min late as was out it's just an absolute joke
The system of booking appointments has definitely improved but long waiting lists.
I used the new online appointment booking system and it was very easy to use. Furthermore the GP I saw was fantastic! I'm sorry I didn't catch her name but she was kind, caring, highly professional, understanding, patient, and really helped me with my concerns. I was very grateful to have been seen by her.
Thank you for your feedback, it is great to hear that you found the new Econsult service easy to use and that the GP was able to help you with your concerns.
