It has not been easy for me to get an appointment in the past, however my son does have ongoing unexplained issues and if I am clear about this and mention he is autistic I will get an appointment.
As a parent if an autistic child, I have been reluctant in the past to seek help as either I havent understood my childrens complaints, or I feel I might be seen as making a fuss for nothing - and that has been detrimental to my childrens health. The doctors have put me at ease been open to arranging the extra tests that I asked for, etc. I really do appreciate everything they have done for my family.
It’s just difficult, wait a long time to get through and to then be told no appointments available, when there is one, it’s normally a week later, and too late. I hasten to add, I only call as a last resort as I’m rarely ill. Even then it’s simply too much faff even trying.
Good afternoon, I do apologise that you are finding it difficult to get an appointment, are you aware that we now have a service called Econsult? It is available between 7am and 10am and can be accessed via the "ask my GP for advice" section in the NHS app or via our website (https://www.billingshurstsurgery.co.uk/appointment-system.php), this will lead you through a series of questions regarding your condition and once completed the form goes to our ehub team. They will then respond to you within 48 hours, when they respond they will offer either a face to face/telephone appointment with an appropriate clinician, advice or signposting to a local service. Many thanks Billingshurst Surgery
Professional and polite
Everyone I dealt with was very helpful
I was trying for a nurse appointment not a doctors
The only downside was the wait time on the phone to make the appointment
Never get through at peak times and no doctor appointment is available when you do . Told call tomorrow
