Too often the appointments for same day or one week hence have gone irrespective of how close to 8am one rings. Ring back tomorrow doesn’t help much. THAT SAID having recently been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes I seem to have risen in the pecking order of concern when asking for an appointment and I have been triaged well by the surgery (rather than 111) and received professional, rapid and compassionate care by Greta, Nicky and Dr Simkin. All three have contributed to how I feel about myself and my condition, thank you.

Suggested improvements
I do think you need another look at the standard appointment system. It just seems inefficient and resource heavy if we keep having to ‘ring back, ring back’ every call back has to be answered by someone and that can’t help your resourcing
