I came for my annual check up. Blood pressure, weight, blood test. I’ve had a few of these. The nurse was great, very reassuring. She told me I would get a call from a pharmacist I don’t know who doesn’t know me who will have access to my medical history. (No choice) normally my doctor would make me an appointment, usually someone I know and trust, to discuss my results. I was also concerned about my blood pressure, the nurse gave me a chart to fill in to bring to you to be added to my notes. Apparently so the pharmacist can see these and discuss action with me. It’s a great surgery, brilliant staff. I would like to be able to see face to face. Maybe I’m older and do try to keep up with the times. It’s just so sad. We are being let down not by you but by the system and world we live in since Covid. This is not a criticism of Billingshurst Surgery but sometimes patient needs need to be taken into account.

Suggested improvements
Patient needs, more GP’s easier access to GP appointments. Not having to wait so long on the phone to get through to get same or next day appointments only to be told they have all gone. This is not a criticism of the surgery as a whole. I understand the pressures you’re all under. I would not like to be the lovely kind person on the other end of the phone having to tell a patient there are no appointments left. The village has grown so much. I would like to thank you all for doing the very best you can under such difficult, changing and times.sometimes patients getting a little older need to be more patient at informed of what’s actually happening. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
