Cannot get through on phones even at 8 am appointments are gone. Thanks to a very helpful call handler and after days of trying and saying I had been to pharmacy and done 111 both of which said I must see a doctor did I get an appointment. My Doctor my brilliant.

Weed out patients who are clearly clogging up the system with multiple requests to see GP

Hello, Thank you for leaving feedback for us. Your suggestion for improvement is an excellent one, and it is something we have been working on. We have been introducing systems in the last few months to to support admin staff in signposting patients to correct services, this will help to reduce the amount of people that book a GP appointment when they don't need a GP specifically. As an example one of the services we have been expanding this year is our musculoskeletal (MSK) service as we have a lot of requests to see GPs for muscle or joint pain, we now have a MSK specialist in three times a week allowing us to divert our GPs to see alternate conditions.
