Share review of Billingshurst Surgery
There are not enough appointments available for the cohort you are serving. With the rapid expansion of the village then the pressure on the surgery increases and the level of service decreases. When I first joined the surgery 16 years ago you didn’t have to wait a week to see a GP. I had to, despite chronic pain that was preventing me sleeping. I appreciate that my condition may not have been as urgent as other peoples, but a week is a long time when the pain prevents sleep. And I had to push for the appointment as it was suggested that I should see a Physio for my condition. I can see that it is a difficult situation with NHS as it is but it still needs addressing.
The Doctor that I saw was exemplary. I couldn’t have had better care, and so the wait was worth it. But it is a sad state of affairs that people with possible non-life-threatening conditions have to wait so long to see someone.
